On Sunday the April 13th, I was asked by an overseas visitor to show them around Shigaraki for half a day.

We toured the Artist in Residence program at Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, https://www.sccp.jp/e/　and visited the factory of Tosai Co., Ltd. https://shigaraki-tousai.jp/

We were able to see the bath production site while the president gave us an explanation. Thank you very much for opening your factory even though it was a Sunday.

After that, we toured the gallery and studio of Shigaraki Share Studio, https://sss-shigaraki.com/　 and had some time for chatting over coffee and a Q&A session.

Finally, we visited Shinohara Nozomi's studio http://anagama.net/ , where we saw her works and a pottery-making demonstration.

Although it was a short visit, I'm glad we were able to provide them with a fulfilling time.

I think they were surprised and convinced by the technology and sensibility that Shigaraki has.
